Illuminations Gratitude List for 2015!

The year of 2015 has flown by so quickly and 2016 is just around the corner!

Whilst we are all so busy achieving our targets, completing our to do lists and motivating ourselves towards bigger and brighter goals. There is always going to be more to do and more to aspire towards because potential of creation is limitless!

However it is equally important to sit back, reflect and express gratitude for all the achievements so far and appreciate our selves and those around us who have contributed to our growth in every way! 

It’s been an amazing, inspiring and productive year for us at Illuminations and we have so much to be grateful for.

Here is our gratitude list for Illuminations in 2015 that we want to share with all of you what we are grateful for 

1. We organized Promoted and executed an event One of Dubai’s largest holistic healing and training program with World Renowned Author & Healer, Dr. Eric Pearl & Reconnective Healing in November 2015 with over a 125 participants!

With this success we open up a new space of bringing down some of the most established names in the field of Mind-Body-Energy Healthcare.

2. We organized 7 Amazing Spiritual and Wellness Destination Retreats in amazing and exotic locations including, Burma, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Himalayas & Mahableshwar!

Tell us about why you started Illuminations.

I have always been interested in the concept of miracles, coincidences, destiny and a higher unseen power within and around us, which I term as the universe. One of my closest friends passed away in a car accident when we were 19 years old.

It brought a lot of questions to my mind about life, death, the after-life, past lives...It made me realize how short life really is despite the illusion of permanency. His death propelled me to look for answers beyond the physical world. When I applied all the tools I picked up during my quest, I was able to let go of negative patterns; it changed my life forever. I found my true potential and I felt that everyone needed to know about this!

What Would You Say is the most challenging part of your job?

The toughest part of my job was fi nding the right people to delegate my work to. To trust that others would work with the same passion. Luckily, I have now created an excellent team who treat Illuminations like their own. I realised I had managed to overcome this challenge when I spent most of the summer traveling, and my team handled the business better than I would have!

What Does Wellness Really Mean?


Wellness is a popular term we hear and speak in every other conversation these days. A lot is written and discussed about wellness too; but what does it really mean? 

There are many ways to describe this concept and there is really no right or wrong explanation, but I will share with you how I look at and experience wellness in my life.

Wellness is more than counting calories or going to the gym. It is a beautiful space that moves you into a state of balance – physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.   

To experience wellness in and around you, it is important become aware of oneself.   

Begin by observing your thoughts and actions for a period of time; not to change or judge yourself but simply to understand where you stand in your current space.  

Once you are aware and acknowledge your existing patterns of thoughts and habits; use your emotional scale as an inner guidance to scale or categorize your experiences on a daily basis under simple feelings of joy, sadness, anger, excitement, love, hate and so on.

Becoming aware of your emotional grid gives you the power and choice to shift yourself from dense emotions like fear anger to joy love by focusing on good feelings thus arresting the negative feelings in early stages.

The formula is simple but you need to stay committed to honor and accept your feelings on an ongoing basis without judgments and be willing to shift any low feeling to a high vibrating one as soon as you catch your emotional meter dipping!  

Create your own customized feel-good list that will keep you aligned to the feelings of joy and love.  You can start by listing all those things that brings a smile to your face and keeps your emotions light. Include anything to the list from- spending time with family or pets, cooking, meditating, cycling, swimming, dancing, journaling and the list can go on;  and everyday spend  mindful time doing a few things that’s on the list; Whenever your emotional meter experiences a low or dip, simply  chose something that’s on your list to gently and naturally lift your emotions.  

As you do this regularly you will begin to   feel the balance and wellness in every sphere, experience and relationship in life begin to soar!

Spirituality is a mysterious word that we come across every now and then. Sometime it can make us feel motivated and inspired to start living light on a higher plane and at times a little confused as we try to understand its true meaning and gauge our own journey so far on the path of spirituality!

There are many beliefs that color the world of spirituality; each one of us defines this space in a unique way. To some it means being selfless and devoting, others find detaching from physical pleasures as a way to spirituality.

We often hear people referring to their growth as "evolving spiritually" and this makes one believe that spirituality is a place outside of ourselves that we need to evolve and attain; however another perspective with which I like to understand spirituality is the journey of returning home, centering in and reconnecting to that deepest part of self that reflects our true spirituality; we are in-fact spiritual beings living a physical experience.

4 Powerful Ways to Reconnect with Your Spiritual Self!

Irrespective of how you chose to understand it or where you find yourself on this beautiful journey, a few simple reminders will help you reconnect with your truest spiritual self

 1. Spend at least 10 minutes in silence with yourself everyday as you observe your thoughts with compassion  

 2. Chose to hold onto light and positive thoughts on an ongoing basis. 

 3. Be present in every moment and activity you indulge in everyday be it eating, working, spending time with friends and family 

 4. Spend a few hours in nature every week.

These easy and simple choices will help you center in and become one with your innate nature of the spiritual being that you truly are!

2 Powerful Exercises to Love & Celebrate You!


It’s easy to get caught up in our busy lives with routines that defines our day and in many ways our life. Its also not uncommon for many of us to start identifying ourselves with what we do as part of our daily lives; “ I’m an entrepreneur” “ I’m a home maker” “ I’m a doctor, lawyer, fulltime mom”…and the list goes on.

But sometimes in the midst of this action we can find ourselves a little lost perhaps even in a place where we don’t recognize or feel one with who we really are! The sliver lining to this heaviness is the opportunity to realign and celebrate yourself.

I will share with you two simple exercises that can empower you to be the fullness of who you are!

1.Positive Vibration – This will take 5 minutes, get into bed and start off with the positive things you experienced in the   morningandslowlynarrowin to the present moment  “ Thank-you for the support, the people, the coffee, the body, the breathing, the bed the pillow….” everything that you can be grateful for -acknowledge it getting closer and closer to the present moment. 2. Sacred–time – Set aside 15-30 minutes everyday for yourself with no agenda; just a window to do whatever you feel like at that time. Honor yourself in that moment, feeling the pulse of who you are – don’t plan anything for this special time- let it unfold as you align with your inner being.

Reconnect. Heal. Transform. With Reconnective Healing & The Reconnection By Dr. Eric Pearl!

Being part of a society, community or family comes with a network of relationships that are complex and myriad.  We have all gone through the experience of feeling disconnected and alienated from our loved ones.  For that matter, we often also experience an inability to connect with our own selves!

The Power of Living in the Present!

Life as we know is all about choices and one of the best choices that you can make is the choice to live in the Present.

But, what does 'Living in the Now' really mean? To understand it very simply it is the ability to be completely aware and experience life as it unfolds every moment without getting tangled in the past nor being worried about the uncertainty of the future.

Sounds interesting, doesn’t it? So, with a strong desire and some simple exercises you can train your mind to be in the Now.

The power of the breath is known to all of us, so I will share with you 2 simple Breathing exercises to initiate this process.

Spend a few minutes everyday to practice this and gradually see the technique and effects become a way of your life.

1) Cleansing Breath: A beautiful way to release negativity like anger, stress and frustration. Just close your eyes, and gently breathe in through the nose inhaling positive energy and blow out through the mouth exhaling negative energy or emotions. Repeat this cycle 21 times and then return to normal breathing.

2) Awareness to Breath: As you resume to your natural breathing pattern, feel the breath moving in and out of the body and become completely aware of this process. Every time you notice that your mind wanders off or starts to judge your experience very gently with compassion direct it back to the breath. Enjoy this process for a few minutes till you feel comfortable and it will start getting easier as you make it a regular practice.

Enjoy the Present moment!
